Managed to get another monthly challenge done – go me!
For my painting challenge this month, I decided to do a Deffkopta. I’ve been a slacker about posting lately – part of it is because I let my domain expire, but now that is fixed, it’s back to business. Here is my progression so far:
Well, here it is, tabletop ready. There is more work to be done on it, but this will do for now!
Been sick for about a week, so I haven’t made a whole lot of progress, just did some “nicks and scratches” detailing:
Started painting my battlewagon – picking out all of the individual rivets is a pain! Started putting some details on part of it to break the tediousness!
I finished up the Runtherder recently, so I thought I would showcase his charges. When I was setting up this shot, I noticed that I hadn’t finished the gun barrels on a few of them, so I went ahead and finished the initial colors for this mob. Enjoy!
Here is my Warboss with attack squig, and two shoota boyz I needed to round out one of my units.
I didn’t like the way the force field generator looked on my mek, so I made a few changes. All of the metallics weren’t coating well, so I decided to redo the main tower with the classic Goff checkerboard pattern. I bought the Citadel Finecast of the big mek with kustom force field, and was pretty disappointed with the sculpt. I expected a higher quality figure with the label “Finecast”. Fortunately, the KFF portion of the sculpt was in decent shape. The mekboy figure didn’t have the equipment loadout of the one in my army [...]
Here is my deffkopta work in progress. In the background you can see a couple of nobs and my runtherd. I love doing checker patterns, they are quick and easy to do, and can be put anywhere!
